Courses Plus Student 98 Pointswordpress: 5-minute install video problems
im trying to build a wordpress site and am watching the video entitled "the famous 5 minute wordpress install" i got stuck after i installed filezilla, then dropped the wordpress folder into the public html folder. i then went to my website url followed by wp-admin, as the video says, but i was not directed to the installation screen as the video says i would be. instead i got the wordpress dashboard. i googled it and see that this seems to be a common problem, but the suggestions i found, ie reloading the wordpress folder, didn't work for me. help! thanks so much. susana

17,730 Pointshave you installed WordPress in that location before? To be redirected back to the installation screen, you'll need to drop your database and start clean. Essentially that's what the install is doing, creating the database.
