Wordpress ?

I have a local install of wordpress and have recently purchased a domain and was wondering do I need to install wordpress on my hosting account server also, it is available? I searched google but most of the answers are not very clear or overly complex for my question.

Edit: Ok I think the answer is just to upload the wordpress files to the server, is this correct? What if I want multiple wordpress sites?

Tammy, try watching this video. It will show you the basics of moving a site from your local host to the server. Basically, you start by making a copy of your local files and SQL database. FTP the files on to the server. Use your server's MySQL tool to upload you local database onto the server. Once you have the files on the server there is a script that you need to run in order to change all the links stored in your DB from "localhost/whatever" to your site new domain name.

Hi Tammy,

You can install WordPress as many as you need, Every installation goes into it's own directory.

For example:

and so on.

OR

you can setup a network (http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network).

Thank you Andrew, I didn't realize that video was on here and I went through both wordpress tracks (both Excellent btw). So if I have 2 wordpress sites do I just repeat the whole process?
