It seems you are inserting something wrong. Make sure you are using the correct host-name, password and username.

its everything exactly as on cPanel, nothing works. the host name is the same as it should be . I looked at the video and did the same informations but mine on there . So his login is wordpress and his site is *****... so i did the same but for mine and don't work.

You get the ftp details in an email, so I am not sure what you mean by it being as on cpanel. Since you have cpanel, why don't you use the other faster method instead? Are you doing the 5 min technique to make your site/blog more secure?

I'm just starting with track

The lesson before the one you are currently doing shows the easier method, since you are doing it for practice purposes you can set up WordPress with that method.

i did everything from step one with that wordpress one minute till now ut nothing works.

Did you do this lesson successfully?

i did , and several times swell

If you already did the course successfully you don't need to do the 5 minute one as that is a 2nd way to do the installation instead of using the 1 click one.

aa so basically the on installation is the same as the 5 minute? because as my mum says she can't change some colour and it takes her on that course?

Yep. It is a 2nd way to install WordPress, so if you have already done the 1 click, you don't need to follow it, as WordPress is already installed.

What my mum said is that when she goes on later video , Zac tells her to go and instal the 2nd way because if you need to change some colours od h1 or header or whatever , my mum need to access the code and change it there on that FileZilla or whatever is that.

If your mom is going to make a custom theme as it teaches in some later courses then eventually she will need filezilla, but if you have done the 1 click, that means wordpress is already installed. When you set up your domain name you'd get an email telling you congrats you have set up your domain name in the hosting and some details...one of them is the FTP and it looks somehow like this...

*** FTP ***

Username: yourwebsite.com

Password: EUHSYAA#

Server Name: 72.177.44.11 (or ftp.yourwesbite.com when your domain is transferred)

these are the details you must use for your FileZilla, not the ones you use to log into cpanel

aa okay , thank you . I gonna have to try it tomorrow . bdw , the teacher , Zac, says to use same same as in cPanel.

I am not sure which video you are talking about. Anyways if you still have issues tomorrow let us know but link us to the video as well.

Hey Aurelian -

It's hard to tell from the screenshot but it seems as though you might be trying to use your cPanel credentials to access the ftp server.

Have you set up an ftp account for your site ? You can learn how here : http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/ftp/ftp_account.htm

You can also make sure that filezilla is configured properly here : http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/ftp/ -> select the filezilla one and you should be good to go.

You should have a different credentials for your hosting account and ftp account than you do for your WP site.

Hope this helps ! kj
