Wordpress is stripping out my <em> tags

Hi all, My Wordpress hell continues.

I seem to have my italics coming though nicely on the full post details page, but the blogs homepage has all the <em> tags removed upon inspection.

Does anyone know a fix?

happy friday!

Just curious are you putting your code in the visual or html editor? I believe if you write the code in the visual editor it will strip all of the tags.

aha! I just tested that and that seems to solve it thanks! is there a way to make the tags hold up in visual mode? The client is petrified of html tags lol.

There isn't a setting I am aware of that will allow tags in the visual editor. If you really need it I would search the plugin repository to see if something exists that will do what you need,
