WordPress - language

Is there a way of hardcoding a language into wordpress? I need a way to bypass the theme/plugin settings.

To be more specific, I need to convert the cyrillic letters into their latin equivalents. i.e. ш-š etc. I'm using a plugin that does not work a 100%, so I'm trying to fix the rest..

If you are having problems with a specific plugin you would have to look into editing the plugin file's language files where you see the problem. There are language packs coming in WP that will change this a bit, but your best bet for now is to try to find the language file with the problem and edit and update it yourself if that will work?

Seems that some plugins favor bilinguality a bit more, hence I did not have much luck with translating the .pot/.po files... Also, WP registers my language (Serbian) as cyrillic by default, so I use a plugin to convert it to latin, but not all things get converted, and some stay in English. I had to hardcode a bunch of php template files so the language could become more or less what it should display.
