Wordpress Local Hosting - Password Strength?

I couldn't find my password to my localhost and had to figure out how to go into PHPmyAdmin to reset it.

Question - since the site is only local couldn't I set the password to something very simple and easy to remember? Would there be security risks when migrating files via FTP with a simple password? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something. Thanks.

As long as your server (localhost I am assuming) is not available to the 'net-at-large and only on your LAN then you can have it as weak or strong as you prefer. Unless, of course you have mischievous roomies/family members ;-P.

Also, don't forget about the checkbox for 'remember me' when logging in and then have your localhost white-listed in your cookies to keep them when you clean your browser.

Ha nefarious roommates/family members not an issue. :) Great, localhost it is and something easy to remember it shall be. Also will note the tip on white-listing cookie - that will help as well. Thanks for clarifying!
