Wordpress Plugin Development Guide

Hello,

I'm seeking a decent wordpress plugin development guide or course that shows you how to knock up a few basic plugins.

I'm disappointed to not find one on Treehouse... anyone know of a good site?

Building WordPress Themes from Scratch by Joe Casabona is pretty good and is cheap. Has a section devoted to making a quick plugin.

Really, once you understand how to package a plugin, it's more about the PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript you need to make it do what you want that's important.

The Professional Wordpress Development books are excellent. There's one devoted to plugins specifically, but the general one might be the most useful starting point.
