WordPress Plugin: I would like to exclude scheduled post in the "Auto Sticky Posts" workflow

I've a WordPresswebsite with a lot of scheduled posts (up to 50) and the sticky post option has an important role in the structure of the website.

I searched for a solution to automate the proces of "sticky posting", I wanted the latest posts automatically be displayed as sticky.

I found the almost perfect solution with the plugin "Auto Sticky Posts", it does exactly what I described above.

The only big thing with this plugin is that the latest post is the latest scheduled post and not the the latest published post. With the effect that the sticky display is empty because the posts aren't posted and visible yet.

Is there a way to exclude scheduled posts from this way of working? Would be lovely!
