Umm I think you can create a navigation menu on wordress and each tab will point to the appropriate post category/page. Also you can use the more tag in order to do the preview thing you want on your posts. You can check it out here Splitting Content »More Tag. I hope this helps.

Is there a post or article on how to use this navigation I.been spending hours trying to figure this out and yes that helped a lot with the summarizing up the post can I also have a picture, so I want to be able to click on a page and scroll down and See pictures with a caption or a few sentences summarizing what in inside of that article if you choose to read it.

For the navigation menu you can check this treehouse lesson How to Add Custom Menus to a WordPress Theme or YouTube video How To Add A Navigation Menu To Wordpress Site. If you want a picture and few sentences to appear you can split the page with the more tag on fewer sentences. It is flexible.
