Wordpress Taxonomies

Are you planning to make a video regarding the Wordpress Taxonomies? I would like to know (1) what is this concept, (2) how can I use it.

The reason is - I have a WP theme that has a Google map and search mask on the homepage. Problem is there seems to be no connection between the map and the mask. For example, when I do a certain selection in a map, that is not reflected on the values in the mask (such as drop down list), or when I set a value for one item in the mask, that change has no effect on other items in the mask. I was told that this can be solved with WP taxonomies, and I would like to learn more about them. Hence, the request for the video tutorial.

Cheers!
