Courses Plus Student 12,953 PointsHello Laurence,
I've used both Wordpress and Weebly, Weebly is good for a beginner but has lots of limits on how far you can take the website. Wordpress can expand from a simple website to a e-commerce website to a web app (With the knowledge of coding languages). Wordpress is a very powerful CMS. If you are looking to get into Web Design or Development I strongly recommend using Wordpress. In the world of professional web design and development, Wordpress is a must.
Hopefully that helped.

They can then give this to a real web designer if they want to spruce it up and weebly supports CSS & JavaScript. You can get pretty far with weebly compared to hand coding HTML, CSS & JavaScript.
Sometimes you need something more than a 5 page brochure site like a blog or an e-commerce store that calls for something else.
