JavaScript jQuery Basics Working with jQuery Collections The .each() method

Wrong answer even though code works

I have no idea what this "Bummer" message is trying to tell me: "Unexpected AST node type passed to processCallExpression method: Literal"

My code displays the check boxes before each list item in the preview but apparently I'm not doing it the way the quiz wants me to, because I just keep getting this message and don't know what it wants.

Can you post your code?

Your code seems fine to me but not to the checker. If you eliminate the constant you'll pass:

$('.favorite-things li').each(function() {
  // Write code here
   $(this).prepend('<input type="checkbox"/>');
});

It was meant to be attached.

$('.favorite-things li').each(function() { const $checkbox = '<input type="checkbox"/>'; $(this).prepend($checkbox); });

Really thought I had tried that already, but apparently not because it worked! Thanks!
